Neil Cadogan’s retirement

We would like to acknowledge the recent communication from the Board of Management of Neil Cadogan’s plans for retirement at the end of the current school year.

On behalf of all the parents, we would like to wish Neil all the very best and thank him for all that he has done for students past and present.

He will be dearly missed.

We have a facility to set up for people to leave a personal message of thanks and appreciation for Neil in the comments section if you so wish.

  1. Wishing Mr Cadogan all the best. My 3 boys adored him and he will be missed. I only have 1 boy left now in Johnstown with only 1 year left to go so I feel very lucky that my 3 boys had him for literally all of their primary school. He was so kind and especially to Joe who used to pop in to the office to see Ms Kearns and ” Neil” for a chat ! all the best for a very relaxed retirement. Ruth & David Connolly

  2. Wishing you all the best on your retirement ! Thanks so much for all your care and encouragement to the lads while they were Johnstown. Louis still remembers your birthday every year. Enjoy it its well earned . Yann, Louis and Evan Mitchell (all former Johnstown alumni during your time).

  3. Wishing you the very best for your retirement, thank you for all the support and encouragement over the years for my two boys, hope you have a well deserved rest! Best Wishes x

  4. We would like to wish Mr.Cadogan all the best for the future.
Our 2 boys sam and jack have wonderful positive memories of their primary school days. The had alot of respect for their principle as he did for his pupils . Always willing to partake in the fun of the school , best wishes Neil

  5. My 3 brothers and I were fortunate enough to be students when Neil was a teacher. And now my son is in the school as Neil begins his retirement. Neil spent his entire teaching career at Johnstown Boys School and the school is better for it. An absolute gentleman, always positive, kind and generous with his time. He will be missed and my family wish him all the best.

  6. Thank you for being a really great principal Mr Cadogan – we will miss you! We hope you enjoy your retirement!
