Hello from the Johnstown Parents Association and welcome to the first newsletter for this school year. We are delighted to
advise you that the Parent’s association will continue its work following the AGM on the 22 nd of September 2021.
Thanks to all the parents who attended and we hope you enjoyed the excellent talk from our guest speaker, Fiona Foreman on
Raising Resilient Children; approaches from Positive Psychology. It’s going to be another fun and exciting year with all our events and new plans!!!

Congratulations to Our First Communicants At long last, our 4th and 3rd Class boys and girls celebrated their First Holy Communion during the month of September after having their original celebrations delayed by COVID in the last year.
A huge congratulations to the boys and girls and a huge thanks to the parents, teachers and of course Father John for making this
such a special occasion.

IPADS 4 Kids
We are focusing fundraising for the purchasing of IPads for the School. With the increased usage / need for IPads, we want to help; for 2021 / 2022, all our events will be with the objective of fundraising for the purchase of new School IPads for our Kids. Come on board.
A Message from the JPA Chair Person (Liam Dillon)
Thank you for the honour of leading the JPA for the 2021 / 2022 school year. My objective is for the committee to connect the parent, children and school in working towards the best for our children. The JPA Committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 8.15pm. All parents/ guardians are invited to attend. Your views are our agenda
All fundraising money goes directly to the school. Therefore, a small amount of €10 is needed from each family to help the
association run. This will go towards:
● Annual insurance premium of €205
● Hosting our parents and children events during 2021 / 2022
● Catering costs to cover the Communion and
Confirmation events. Please use the below links to make your €10 contribution.
